Unitree Robotics’ G1 humanoid robots have gone viral after delivering a synchronized front flip during a live concert performance in Chengdu, drawing global attention and praise from Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk.
The performance took place last Thursday, where six G1 humanoids appeared as backup dancers alongside pop star Wang Leehom. Dressed in metallic silver tops and black pants, the robots performed tightly coordinated choreography to the song “Open Fire,” executing arm swings, leg kicks, pivots—and a perfectly timed front flip that electrified the audience.
Elon Musk Calls Unitree’s Performance “Impressive”
The viral moment gained even more traction after Elon Musk reposted the performance video on X, simply captioning it “Impressive.” His endorsement helped propel the clip across global social media platforms, highlighting growing international interest in China’s humanoid robotics capabilities.
