Internet Service Issues in Pakistan: PTCL Working to Restore Connectivity

Internet connectivity issues in Pakistan are often monitored through platforms like Downdetector Pakistan, where users report real-time problems related to internet service providers and online platforms. Recently, some users experienced slow speeds and service disruptions, particularly linked to PTCL internet services in certain regions

According to Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), the disruption was caused by multiple cable cuts, which impacted internet services across different parts of the country. PTCL has confirmed that the situation is being actively addressed and restoration work is underway.

Commenting on the issue, Fariha Tahir Shah, General Manager Corporate Communication, PTCL, stated that the company sincerely regrets the inconvenience caused to its customers. She confirmed that PTCL has deployed all its technical resources to restore and stabilize services as quickly as possible. She also shared that internet services have already been partially restored in many areas, and further improvements are expected soon.

To ensure transparency and prevent similar incidents in the future, PTCL has also formed a high-level investigation committee to identify the root cause of the outage. This step reflects the company’s commitment to service reliability and customer satisfaction.

PTCL’s technical teams continue to work around the clock to fully restore the network, ensuring business continuity and high availability for residential and corporate users. Customers are advised to remain patient as repair work progresses, and service conditions are expected to normalize shortly.
