Intel Core Ultra 3 205 Pops Up Online Again — But You Still Can’t Buy It

Intel’s long-missing Core Ultra 3 205 has surfaced once again, this time on a German retailer, reigniting questions about when — or if — the entry-level Arrow Lake CPU will officially launch.

Core Ultra 3 205 Listed in Germany at a Higher-Than-Expected Price

A German retailer, Industry Electronics, has listed the Intel Core Ultra 3 205 at €148 (excl. VAT) and €176 (incl. VAT). That converts to roughly $173–$206 USD, depending on taxes. While the processor can be added to the cart, it is not currently in stock, suggesting a placeholder or early pre-order listing rather than an active sale.

This isn’t the first time the chip has appeared online. Earlier, the same processor was spotted on a French retailer for €129 (excluding VAT), roughly $149 USD. Even then, pricing appeared high for what is expected to be Intel’s most affordable Arrow Lake desktop CPU.

Missing From Most Markets — Especially North America

Intel has already released most of its Core Ultra 5, 7, and 9 Arrow Lake CPUs, which are now widely available. However, the Core Ultra 3 series remains notably absent, particularly in North America, where no major retailers currently list the chip.

In Europe, availability appears slightly better — though still inconsistent — with listings frequently appearing and disappearing, often marked out of stock.
What the Core Ultra 3 205 Brings

Based on confirmed leaks and retailer data, the Core Ultra 3 205 is positioned as a budget desktop processor, featuring:

8 cores (4 P-cores + 4 E-cores)

15MB L3 cache

3.8GHz base clock

Up to 4.9GHz boost on P-cores

Up to 4.2GHz on E-cores

Despite being the slowest Arrow Lake CPU, it is expected to deliver noticeably better single-core and multi-core performance than Intel’s Core i3-14100.

Pricing Could Be the Real Problem

At its current listed prices, the Core Ultra 3 205 is more expensive than the Core Ultra 5 225F, which sells for around $150–$160. That pricing makes little sense for an entry-level chip.

Industry expectations suggest Intel should price the Core Ultra 3 205 around $120–$130 to remain competitive and align with its Core i3 heritage.
Launch Still Unclear

For now, the Core Ultra 3 205 remains listed but unavailable, with no official launch date in sight. Until Intel confirms pricing and availability, budget PC builders may be left waiting — or looking elsewhere.
