Be Mine - Chapter#26 (part-1)

With a severe headache, Yawar drove back to the Main House. His routine was getting tougher with each passing day. Apart from working out at the gym, he trained with other members daily, whether it was physical training or teaching them the use of a new weapon. It was his job as the third-in-command to keep an eye on the armed market and order what was needed. After a lot of searching and a lot of paperwork, along with the meetings and his studies, he sometimes felt like a machine. There were times when he got really exhausted. However, today he got a headache from overthinking. Natasha told him the whole story about Shahina before she was abducted. A little girl who wanted to go to school ended up in the hands of vicious people.

After hearing it, he wanted to strangle each person who ever laid their hands on Shahina. He also wished to call her family and ask why they couldn’t handle the situation well. If they had just reassured her that everything would be alright. If they had just hugged her for once, things might have been different now. But at that time, they didn’t have a clue that such an incident could ever happen to their daughter. Humans are strange creatures, even knowing their malicious nature, they believe that no harm will come to them. Each person in every society knows the cruelty of the world, yet they never prepare themselves to deal with it. Parents never bother to create a family where the concerns of a child could be taken seriously. He, his sister, and Shahina suffered from the same fate, and no don't know how many children will be tormented.

Entering the main house, Yawar thought of searching for Shahina, but he instantly suppressed the idea. Yawar feared that if she appeared before him right now, he wouldn’t let her go. He would hold her in his arms until his nerves calmed down, until he made her forget her suffering. Still, he went to the kitchen and let out a deep sigh on finding it empty. He switched off the light and walked towards his room. Yawar’s head was throbbing, yet he was ready to make his first move.

Samreen was going to take a nap after lunch when she received a call from an unknown number. It was a lady on the other side of the phone. At first, she thought it was from one of her students, but when she asked Samreen about being Shahina’s sister, she sat straight.

“Yes, I am her sister. Who are you?”

“You didn’t need to know.”

“Excuse me?” Samreen frowned.

“Listen carefully, Samreen, to what I am about to tell you."
