Be Mine - Chapter#24 (part-2)

Hours turned into days, and days turned into weeks, yet Yawar didn’t get the chance of meeting Shahina or even hearing her voice on the phone. She switched off her mobile, probably to avoid her family. Which he thought was a stupid move, if she had already dragged her to the point when she went to meet them, then there was no point left of runing away from them.  However, he couldn’t tell her, because Moosa kept him busy with the work that could easily be done by someone else but he chose to torment him. He didn’t step outside the Shareefabad for many days. Sometimes he wondered that if he was still the same MB who cherished him or he has become Shahina’s brother only. And a very overprotective one.

Yawar contacted Natasha many times, to let him talk to Shahina but each time he got the same answer, ‘She isn’t ready for it.’

Ready for what?

Yawar thought irritatingly, it wasn’t like I was asking for her hand in marriage.

With each passing day, his restlessness was increasing, and today he was ready to dump the remaining work on Owais and go to Natasha’s house. He left Moosa’s office to go to the base one, where Moosa and Owais were in a meeting with other members of the Black Eagles.

However, before Yawar could put his plan into action, he found Shahina talking with a maid in the living room. For a few moments, he just stood there and watched her.

She was here, and I was sulking the whole time in MB’s office…

Thought Yawar and stepped towards them. As soon as the maid saw him, Yawar tilted his head, telling the maid to leave, and without sparing a moment, she left. On the other hand, Shahina, who already spotted Yawar coming towards her, also turned around to leave. But Yawar was way too fast to seize the opportunity.

“Not so fast.” Yawar said, coming before her, “I have waited the whole time.”

Shahina glanced at him before lowering her gaze.

“How are you?”

“…fine.” She mumbled.

“Look at me.” Yawar lowered his head to her, and she quickly stepped back.

“I told you to look at me…Raise your head, show me your face.” Shahina looked up at him with a puzzled expression, but averted her gaze on finding him staring at her intentionally.

“Have you switched on your phone?” She nodded in response.

“When?”

“Three days ago.”

Why didn’t I try to call her in the past three days???

Yawar shook his head and asked, “Got any calls from your family?” Shahina nodded again.

What did they say?”

“I didn’t receive any.”

“Why?” This time Shahina didn’t answer.

"I didn’t want to.”

“Hm…” He didn’t inquire anything else, just lowered his head towards her and almost whispered, “I missed you.”

Shahina’s head shot up with her eyes wide from shock. She thought it was his new way of teasing her, but Yawar's face didn’t show a hint of insincerity. His serious expression freaked her out, and she almost ran to the floor.
